They have had 10 Best Picture Academy Award® nominations, won 15 Academy Awards®, won 41 BAFTA® Awards, won 16 Golden Globe® Awards and numerous prestigious prizes at Film Festivals around the world including the renowned Cannes and Berlin Film Festivals.
Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner have been honoured with the Producers Guild of America’s David O. Selznick Achievement Award in Theatrical Motion Pictures, the PGA’s highest honour for motion picture producers. They have also been accorded two of the highest film awards given to British filmmakers: the Michael Balcon Award for Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema, at the BAFTA Awards, and the Alexander Walker Film Award at the Evening Standard British Film Awards. They have also both been honoured with CBEs (Commanders of the Order of the British Empire).
In Theatre Working Title produced Billy Elliot the Musical which has played to over 12.4 million people worldwide and grossed $1bn at the box office. Winner of over 85 awards worldwide including 10 Tony Awards and 5 Olivier Awards, including Best Musical (London), Billy Elliot continues to entertain audiences around the world.
In addition, Tim and Eric are Founders of the London Screen Academy (LSA). They established the tuition-free sixth-form college alongside Lisa Bryer, David Heyman, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli in 2019 to address the lack of diversity and technical and skills shortages in the UK film and TV industry.
